About

Alex J.V. Andersen (b. 1997, Silkeborg, Denmark) is an abstract and figurative artist based in Barcelona. He began his path in the art world as a graphic designer and later became a host at Cercle Artístic de Sant Lluc—Barcelona’s historic art institution, where artists such as Pablo Picasso, Joan Miró, and Antoni Gaudí once practiced.

From an early age, Andersen was driven by a strong curiosity for art and culture, traveling extensively and shaping his perspective through movement and observation. After settling in Barcelona, his focus shifted toward painting and storytelling, using the canvas as a medium to translate personal experiences and cultural impressions.

His work explores the relationship between abstract surfaces and figurative narrative, often merging the two into layered compositions. Through rich textures and vibrant color palettes, Andersen creates pieces that reflect both his inner world and the environments that surround him.
